Hotel receptionist
Cave Hotel and Golf Resort is a luxurious and welcoming establishment located near Canterbury. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and a memorable experience for our guests. As part of our front desk team, you will be the first point of contact and play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a memorable and enjoyable stay.
As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be responsible for delivering a friendly and professional service to our guests whilst maximising revenue by upselling our Food & Beverage offerings. Your role involves managing front desk operations, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring smooth check-ins and check-outs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Manage reservations and room allocations.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints, providing solutions and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Answer telephone calls and direct them to the appropriate departments.
- Process payments and manage cash handling operations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and events to provide accurate information to guests.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Being a team player.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of Reservations systems software is an advantage (preferably Opera)
- A friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
